Common challenges

IT problems that slow construction companies down.

Multiple Job Sites

Managing IT across a main office and several active job sites is complicated. We design systems that work consistently everywhere - VPN access, cloud tools, and mobile-friendly infrastructure.

Document Access in the Field

PMs and superintendents need plans, specs, RFIs, and submittals accessible from job sites. We set up cloud document management so the right people can access the right files from any device.

Subcontractor Access

Giving subs access to project files without exposing everything is a real challenge. We set up Microsoft 365 SharePoint with controlled external sharing so subs get exactly what they need - nothing more.

No Standardized Office Setup

Construction company offices often run on a mix of old equipment and jury-rigged systems. We clean it up, standardize the setup, and make sure the office infrastructure supports the scale of your operation.

Communication Across Sites

Relying on personal cell phones for job site communication is disorganized and unprofessional. We set up VoIP systems and Microsoft Teams that give your office and field crews a unified way to communicate.

Data Security & Backups

Years of project files, bids, contracts, and drawings represent enormous business value. We implement backup systems so that a hardware failure or ransomware attack doesn't wipe out your company's history.

How we help

IT that moves with your business.

Construction companies have unique IT needs because the work isn't confined to an office. Your project managers are on job sites, your estimators are in the office or working remotely, your superintendent needs plans on his tablet at 7am, and your subs need access to the latest drawings without getting into systems they shouldn't touch.

The backbone of modern construction company IT is Microsoft 365. SharePoint gives you cloud document storage with granular permissions - different teams, different projects, different access levels. Teams handles communication between the office and field. OneDrive syncs files to laptops and phones so they're available offline. We deploy and manage Microsoft 365 for construction companies and make sure it's set up correctly from the start - not just licenses purchased and left to figure out on your own.

On the infrastructure side, most construction company offices we've seen have accumulated years of equipment and workarounds. Printers that only work from one computer, file servers nobody fully understands, Wi-Fi that doesn't reach half the building. We perform a full assessment, clean up what's there, and build a standardized infrastructure that you can depend on and that actually matches how your business operates.

We work with construction companies across Ocean County and New Jersey - from small residential contractors to mid-size commercial firms - providing managed IT that covers the office, the mobile workforce, and the cloud tools that tie everything together.

Common questions

Construction IT questions we hear often.

Can project managers access files from job sites on their phones or tablets?
Yes. With Microsoft 365 and OneDrive, files sync to mobile devices and are accessible offline as well. SharePoint can be configured so that the right project folders are accessible to the right people on any device. We set up and manage this so it works reliably - not just theoretically.
How do we give subcontractors limited access to project documents?
SharePoint supports external sharing - you can share specific folders or files with people outside your organization without giving them access to anything else. We configure this with proper permission structures so subs can access what they need through a browser or the SharePoint app, with access that can be revoked at any time.
Can you help us move from paper-based processes to digital?
We can handle the IT side of that transition - cloud storage, document management, email, and communication tools. For construction-specific workflow software (Procore, Buildertrend, etc.), we make sure your IT environment supports those platforms and we coordinate with their support teams when needed.
Do you support construction-specific software?
We work at the infrastructure level - the computers, network, and cloud environment that your software runs on. We support any construction management platform by ensuring the underlying IT environment is stable, secure, and properly configured. Application-level support for specific software is handled by those vendors, but we coordinate with them when needed.
How do you handle IT for a company with multiple job sites?
Most of what construction companies need at job sites is cloud-based - file access, communication, email - which doesn't require on-site IT infrastructure at each location. For the main office, we manage the network, servers, and workstations. For field teams, we set up and manage the mobile devices and cloud tools they depend on, and we provide remote support when something doesn't work.
