All Services
What we handle

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace - both platforms, fully managed.

Email & Exchange Online

Professional email on your own domain, anti-spam and phishing protection, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and email archiving.

Microsoft Teams

Team chat, video calls, file sharing, and channel-based collaboration - properly set up so your team actually uses it instead of reverting to email chains.

SharePoint & OneDrive

Cloud file storage and intranet for your team. Shared drives, document libraries, version control, and access permissions that actually make sense.

MFA & Security

Multi-factor authentication, Conditional Access policies, Microsoft Defender, and security baseline configuration to protect your accounts and data.

License Management

We manage your licensing - right-sizing plans, adding and removing users, tracking costs, and making sure you're not overpaying for seats you don't use.

Migration Services

Moving between platforms or from a local mail server? We handle the full migration - email, contacts, calendars, and files - in either direction, with minimal disruption.

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace

We support both platforms. Whether your team uses Outlook or Gmail, Teams or Meet, SharePoint or Drive - we handle licensing, migration, security configuration, and ongoing management for both.

Why it matters

Most cloud email deployments have security gaps and licensing waste.

Whether your team is on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, the default configuration leaves critical protections turned off. On Microsoft 365, MFA is not enforced by default, legacy authentication protocols remain open, and Defender features included in most plans are never activated. On Google Workspace, similar gaps exist around login security, sharing permissions, and audit logging.

On the licensing side, it's common to find businesses paying for plans that don't match their actual needs, or paying for seats that belong to employees who left years ago. A proper audit typically finds meaningful monthly savings on either platform.

For New Jersey businesses - especially those in healthcare, legal, or financial services - cloud email and collaboration tools need to be configured to meet compliance requirements. That means proper data retention policies, email archiving, and audit logging - not just turned on and handed to employees.

Define Edge supports both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. We deploy from scratch, inherit and clean up existing tenants, and manage both platforms on an ongoing basis. We also provide basic end-user training so your team actually uses the tools they're paying for.

Common questions

Email & Cloud FAQ.

Can you migrate us from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365?
Yes. We handle Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migrations including email, contacts, calendars, and Google Drive files to OneDrive or SharePoint. We plan the cutover to minimize downtime and communicate clearly with your team throughout the process.
How long does a Microsoft 365 migration take?
For a small business of 5–20 users, the email migration itself typically takes 1–3 days once we've done the planning and pre-staging work. The full project including configuration, security setup, and training usually spans one to two weeks depending on complexity and your team's availability.
Do you provide training for our staff?
Yes. We provide practical onboarding for your team covering the tools they'll actually use - Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. We focus on the workflows that matter for your business rather than a generic feature walkthrough.
What Microsoft 365 plan do most small businesses need?
Most small businesses do well on Microsoft 365 Business Basic or Business Standard. If you need advanced security features like Defender for Business, Intune for device management, or Azure AD Premium, Business Premium is worth the upgrade. We'll recommend the right plan based on your actual needs - not the most expensive option.
Is our data backed up in Microsoft 365?
No - not by default. Microsoft protects their infrastructure, but they do not back up your tenant data in a way that allows point-in-time recovery. Accidental deletion, ransomware, or a departing employee deleting files are not covered. We recommend and deploy third-party backup solutions for Microsoft 365 as part of a complete data protection strategy.
